About Pete Kerridge

Previously Head of Counselling at Middlesex University, London, Pete Kerridge now works exclusively from his private psychotherapy and counselling practice in Harley Street, London W1 and in Alpe Street, Ipswich, Suffolk.

He began his 8 year training in 1995 at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s College, London. In 1996 he went to the London Gestalt Centre where he trained as a Gestalt counsellor and as an individual/group psychotherapist, during which time he worked as a counsellor for MIND mental health organisation for 2 years. In 1999 he started working as a counsellor at the University of Greenwich and began a private practice in the City.

He later went on to complete an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute in London by which time he was working as the Counselling and Mental Health Coordinator at the University of Greenwich. His rigorous training, incorporating both academic learning and supervised clinical practice, has enabled him to offer help to a wide range of people with a broad range of concerns.

He has extensive experience of both brief ‘solution focused’ as well as long term counselling and psychotherapy. Through the diverse environment of higher education he has considerable experience in working with clients from many different countries and cultures.

In addition to offering both individual and group psychotherapy and counselling, he is also clinical supervisor to other counsellors and psychotherapists in training.
